Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was, beyond all measure, a prodigious intellect and a visionary par excellence, whose brilliance illuminated the most intricate realms of jurisprudence, economics, philosophy, and social reforms. Born into the most abject circumstances mired by Caste discriminations, yet rising by sheer force of intellect and indomitable will, he became a colossus of knowledge and a formidable architect of justice. Educated in the august halls of Honourable Gray’s Inn Society where he was awarded Bar at Law in June 1922, the London School of Economics for MSc and DSc in economics, and in Columbia University where he was awarded PhD, he wielded the tools of logic and learning with masterful precision, crafting arguments and institutions that bore the indelible imprint of reason and righteousness. Yet, his greatness did not lie in scholarship alone; it lay, too, in his unyielding commitment to the cause of the humanity, the oppressed, and the silenced. A fervent champion of equality and human dignity, he toiled unceasingly to dismantle the edifice of caste and to erect in its place a society founded on liberty, equality, and fraternity. As the Father of the Indian Constitution, he infused its very soul with democratic ideals and moral courage, ensuring that the human rights of every citizen, regardless of their caste, creed, gender, race or religion, were safeguarded. In every thought, word, and deed, he exemplified the rare union of intellect and empathy, reason and resolve, making him not only a sage of his time, but a timeless beacon for all who dare to dream of a just and enlightened society.
